Speakers of the event were: AleksandrKossyuk– Chairman of the «Damuty» PF (Kostanay), AmirzhanAgeleuov– Senior Operational Officer for Criminal Police Directorate ofthe WKO Police Department, Police Major (Uralsk), BehzodTulaev– Lawyer “Sana Sezim"(Shymkent) and GulnurIdigeeva– Executive Director of the Information and Consulting Center"Duris"(Aktobe), Eleonor Valentine (Winrock International), Nina Balabayeva ("Rodnik"), MaksatBaibekov ("UN Women"). Participants learnt about the currentslavery situation in Kazakhstan. Speakers told about the specifics, features and difficulties of their work. In the end of the session, guest Stephanie Olsen, Policy Officer ofthe US Embassy in Republic of Kazakhstan introduced the history of January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month in the United States.
